Hey. My name is Dexter and I am the founder of TechDex Development & Solutions, a small tech/marketing company I founded in 2004, and Live Minder is the name of the marketing side of my business.
Live Minder started out as a market research service that I offered to my tech clients; live minder being the name I chose for it because I mined live data using a custom method for data mining which was incredibly accurate and great for forecasting.
The name “live minder” came from the slogan I used, “don’t just mind your business, mind your data“.
As more and more clients began purchasing that service, many of them began to ask me if I could also fulfill the marketing for them too. What was happening was that they’d come to me for the market research, then turn around and hire someone else to do the marketing for them, and used my research to inform them.
So, I took on the task of providing SEO and Branding services, which are both organic marketing strategies, however, I ran into the problem of time.
Simply put, I didn’t have enough of it.
So instead of going the traditional route to hire or outsource, I decided that I would use my engineering and programming background to create a way for me to get more work done and save time.
I chose that route because I realized that no matter how many people I hire, the problem wasn’t lack of people, or even lack of time; it was lack of a system, and every good business has systems in place to make sure that the business runs smoothly, as well as make sure that clients get the highest level of service.
So, I got started, and along the way I realized that I could use the system to scale my business and help even more clients to attain goals.
1 Year And 10 Months Later…
My “little app” to help me do more in less time became a fully fledged service and is now the hub of the entire marketing arm of my company.
The best part is that, not only do I get to do more in less time, the system is also more affordable and has less overhead than before, and that is allowing me to pass on the savings to my clients.
